Just a bit of feedback from Luke & Jess – they had a fantastic time, see below!

“Italy was unreal, the Amalfi coast is so amazing, and we are considering going back in October or November. Jess isn't an early riser like I am so the hikes were a bit too hot, like we would need to go early to keep the heat down, but we had plenty to do all day anyway and you can get around so easy just by ferry.

The hotel in Amalfi I would send absolutely everyone to, Residence Luce, a family run boutique hotel, and they are the nicest people ever. The Grandmother was there at breakfast being so nice and made us feel like little kids the way she grabbed our cheeks!  The sons Marco and Julio only 16 and 18 years old, were so helpful with perfect English and the owner Vincenzo was a legend and organised everything we needed, they washed our clothes too and a full bag only cost us 10 euro... it was so helpful with all the sweating.

I loved the vibe in Napoli, and it is so cheap there like eating out and all that. Rome is more expensive but sure it's amazing you are just walking around a giant museum really there is history all around you.
Hotel in Napoli was nice, well located and very nice staff, Hotel in Rome was very classy, nice big room and the staff there were incredible too.”

Our trip to Italy and the beautiful Abruzzi area is, unbelievably, almost a week behind us.  The Gran Sasso National Park, in the majestic Apennines mountains, an area not familiar to us but safe to say it did not disappoint.  Now back home it would be remiss not to mention those who made this trip happen.  When our Trips’ Team [thanks, Julia and Teresa] first approached Mark at OHanrahan Travel  to ask for help in putting together another trip they knew, having worked with him on our trip to Spain [October ‘22], he wouldn’t let us down.  Thanks to Mark and his contacts at Best Holidays in Italy – you certainly lived up to your name.  The hard work to ensure our requests for three levels of hiking could be accommodated was much appreciated.  
We had five fantastic hikes. Each day in a different location with spectacular scenery and weather. Even the snow was fabulous and the après walk entertainment was great craic. None of this would have been possible without our guides.
