The building was build in the early eighteenth century with vaults and arches. Originally it was called "Agrumeto Santacroce" because it was a watch tower surrounded by lemon terraces. In 1875 after the ceiling of the Church of Lone in Amalfi collapsed, the tower was converted into a chapel. La Madonna of Lone was placed in this new chapel till the beginning of the 1900´s, when the vaults that today still exist, were first redecorated. In 1920 the chapel was converted into a private residence. At the time, the. lower part of the tower was converted into an interesting alcove while the facades and interiors were decorated with floral motifs on the walls and on the vaults.
In 2010 further, major restorations were carried out on the building. The "tower" with its large wall of about 160 cm, has become a luxury bathroom with the original decorations of the time. Adjacent is a huge bedroom where the original painting of the Madonna from the original the Old Chapel is on display. The property is situated in a splendid location, facing the sea and the famous natural" arch of love" which for years was featured in testimonial advertising of the famous chocolates "Baci Perugina. From the Villa climbing about 200 steps you can have the access to the pool "Le Nereidi" . The cost per person for the entrance is € 10,00; for children € 4,00 (from 4 to 12 years old). In the cost is included the shuttle to reach the pool.

In addition the pool it is also possible to book the entrance in a private beach at a cost of € 15.00 for person-Children under 15 years € 5.00 (sharing, without bed, the umbrella with the parents for up to 2 people). For the month of August should book in advance in hopes of finding availability. The price includes use of the umbrella and a sun bed. The beach is at only 100 meters from the villa and is accessed by 2 lifts in rock connected to the main road. The beach is open from June 1st to September 30rd and from 08:00 to 17:00; it is very exclusive and there is also an American bar. Adjacent to the beach there is a restaurant famous for its specialties of fish and the windsurfing school.
