ACTIVITIES AND TOURS FOR THE DAY

Visit to the suggestive farm in the Alessandria countryside, a farm famous for the breeding of the precious goat race of Roccaverano, known also as Regina, and the production of fine typical cheese, like Robiola and Blu di Capra. You can see closely the animals, bred rigorously with hay and biological officinal herbs, and to know all the secrets of this old activity. Visit to an important local winery to find out and taste some qualities of wines, obtained from local and international vine varieties. Stop at anhistorical local distillery with annexed museum of grappa, passing through the ancient and modern stills to the fine wood barrels for the ageing. Not to miss in Casorzo the ancient Saint Giorgio church, then dedicated to the Madonna delle Grazie, in the highest and most panoramic place of the village. The building amazes for the neoclassical façade, and for the lateral nave in a Romanesque style with many graffiti, short testament of local history left from local people between the ‘500 and ‘900. We recommend you to have a walk in the old town centre.

THE RESTAURANT

Relax of senses and pleasures of the table at a local restaurant that proposes for the occasion: “Fiori di Bresaola con Robiola di Roccaverano”and “Risotto Robiola e Rosmarino” in a Taste Menu based on typical recipes of the place. The choice is for the lunch, from Tuesday to Sunday, and for dinner, from Friday to Saturday.
