Arrival in Casorzo and tour with tasting of wine in a famous local winery, to find out the Malvasia di Casorzo Doc, a sweet red wine with a unique smell of rose, white peach, wild strawberry and raspberry. Tour with taste of grappa in an historical local distillery. Passing through ancient and modern stills, you arrive to the wood barrels where the time spent in it improves the precious contents proceeds from the distillation of the grape marc of the best Piedmontese vine varieties. From Bacco’s hills to the rice valleys...tour to the historical mill in Vercelli, known as international level for the production of particular kinds of rice, such as Carnaroli and Arborio, the best one for preparing refined and flavourful risotto. The mill, original monument of agricultural archaeology, was built in the XV century at the same time to the next Roggia wanted by the Marquise Guglielmo VIII of Monferrato. The whole structure, displaced on three floors, guarantees the automatic functioning of all the machinery installed for rice husking. As we were in Leonardo da Vinci workshop or as Lilliputian in a mechanical clock, many transmission shafts, pulleys, gears and sieve move thanks to leather straps, activating the machinery for the production. In the rice mill, you can find out an interesting museum that includes machineries and objects related to lives of “people from rice mill” in the past.

THE RESTAURANT

Relax of senses and pleasures of the table at a local restaurant that proposes for the occasion: “Risotto Rosa di Casorzo Doc” and “Parfait al Malvasia” in a Taste Menu based on typical recipes of the place. The choice is for the lunch, from Tuesday to Sunday and for dinner from Friday to Saturday.
