Canyoning is a thrilling experience which allows you to descend into the rock gorges carved out by the river, with the help of ropes. The stream takes you through waterfalls, rock jumps and little lakes as the Alcantara river has carved through the lava rock of Etna, creating a striking and unique landscape.
The proposed track is in a stretch full of little lakes, into which you can dive from the lava ridges. Each time you will be able to choose whether to dive straight in, or reach the lakes with the aid of well-secured ropes.

The tour will begin with equipping the participants with neoprene suits, harness and helmet. Each participant will have to provide the following equipment: trainers or hiking boots (to get wet), swimming costume, beach towel, change of shoes and socks. After dressing there will be a quick briefing in which you will be explained the techniques of descent with the ropes, and how to progress safely, followed by a practical test for all participants.

Journey time on foot: approximately 3 hours.
