Your holiday will start in Scopello, a seaside village 45 min from Palermo Airport and adjacent to the magnificent Zingaro Nature Reserve. From there you will have the chance to visit the archaeological site of Segesta, Monte Cofano and the charming Erice with its castle dominating the valley.
Day 1: Arrival in Scopello
Private transfer from Palermo airport to your first accommodation. Free time to visit the village.
Day 2: Zingaro Nature Reserve (5 hours walking +500m -500m )
Your excursion will begin from the Zingaro Nature Reserve where a beautiful and suggestive walk takes you along Mediterranean paths and charming groves. After many coves and wonderful panoramas, you will have the chance to have a swim. Your walk will go on admiring the colours of the sea and discovering the amazing views the Gulf of Castellammare offers. Return to your accommodation.
Day 3: Scopello and Balata di Baida (4 hours walking +375m –375m)
In the morning excursion to the Castle of Balata di Baida, wonderful scenery and amazing views over the gulf and the sea. In the afternoon time to discover Scopello, fishermen village on the sea with an ancient Baglio (fortified house with courtyard) where you can find coffee shops and small shops selling local ceramics. Accommodation in Scopello.
Day 4: Segesta archeological site (3 hours walking +250m –250m)
Private transfer to Segesta where you will enjoy your walking excursion. Visit of the magnificent archaeological site with the amphitheatre and the theatre. Then a path will take you to the amazing surroundings. Pleasant walking before going back to your accommodation.
Day 5: Scopello - Monte Cofano Reserve (4 hours walking +350 m -350 m)
Mount Cofano, 659 m high, is one cape that separates two gulfs, Cofano and Bonagia. The coastal path will take you to the summit to admire the breathtaking view. In the afternoon taste some granita in Trapani. Accommodation in the area.
Day 6: Erice (5 hours walking +700m –700m)
Enjoy an excursion to Erice, the medieval village up the hill famous for its Castle, narrow streets and almond cakes and also its views over the Aegadian Islands.
Day 7: Free
Today you may choose to explore the town of Trapani with its many churches and port or visit the nearby lively island of Favignana.
Day 8: Departure
